Music is an integral part of the life and worship of St. Paul’s Church.  People of all ages and backgrounds are brought closer to God through music – and there are many ways to be involved in the ministry of music at St. Paul’s.

RDMS – Rhythm-Dance-Movement and Song

RDMS is a Montessori-based music curriculum for children aged from birth to 4 years, and their adult caregivers. Children sing, dance, play instruments, and listen to music and poetry.  This class meets in Ordway Hall on Tuesday afternoons from 5:15-5:45 and is repeated on Wednesday mornings from 10:30-11:00.  There is no charge for RDMS but donations are gratefully received to help support this popular program.  Mark Pace is the contact.  On break until Sept 2/3, 2014.

Children’s Choir: Kindergarten-3rd Grade

The K-1st graders meet and have musical activities, play Orff and percussion instruments, and learn how to read music.  The 2nd and 3rd graders play handchimes and also learn how to ring our 1868 tower bells.  The two groups come together to sing and provide an anthem for the 10:00 AM Ageless Worship Service on the first Sunday of each month.  The Children's Choir meets in Ordway Hall (the lower parish hall) on Monday afternoons from 4:00 - 5:00 PM. Mark Pace is the contact.  Now on break until September 9th.

Youth Choir and Handchimes

Older children (4th grade and beyond) come together to ring more advanced handchime music.  Our Youth Choir sings music in parts and learns more advanced choral techniques.  Tee Youth Choir meets in the sanctuary and the choir room on Monday afternoons from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Mark Pace is the contact.  Now on break until September 8th.

Adult Choir

The Adult Choir provides music for our 10:00 am service, throughout the school year.  We rehearse each Sunday morning at 9:00 AM in the choir room.  Each week is a new commitment because we rehearse only the music that we are singing for that Sunday.  Rehearsals are fast-paced and fun.  CDs are provided before each rehearsal for those persons who want to hear and practice the music beforehand.  A broad range of music from spirituals to the great choral literature of the Anglican tradition is sung.  Please contact Mark Pace, Director of Music Ministry, for more information.

Summer Fun

A fun change of pace for many members is our “Summer Choir”.  On August 17, 24 and 31, come as you are to the choir room at 9:30 AM and learn the music for that Sunday’s 10 AM service.  Members of all ages are invited to join in and sing together.
