The Vestry has formed committees to assist with the many ministries in the parish and is seeking volunteers to serve on
them. The full list of committees and the Vestry representative for each is available here.
Bob Wilson, chair of the 2008 Pledge Campaign, is looking for 10 committed
volunteers to join him for this year’s work in gathering funds to do the mission of St. Paul’s Church in the
call of Jesus Christ. Please contact him after the 10 AM Sunday service, or e-mail him at
jlcw@comcast.net.
The Pledge Campaign itself will last just 4 weeks, but the preparation for success begins in May. Don’t hesitate
to join up; it is really rather fun and most satisfying to achieve this most important goal.
The Parish Directory project is going full speed ahead and we need everyone's help to make it a success. Most importantly:
- Have your photo taken in May after the 8am or 10am services (May 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th)
- Consider advertising your business in the directory. Business card ads cost $50.
- Anyone interested in helping with this project, please contact Robin Broadbent
Bring your lunch to St. Paul’s Church and enjoy mini-organ recitals on Wednesdays during the month of May. These recitals will be held in the Sanctuary from 12:15 PM – 12:45 PM. They are free and open to the public.
- May 14th – Colin Lynch
- May 21st – Daniel Bayless
- May 28th – Mary Copeley
An opportunity to deepen your faith and learn to apply it to your life and ministry.
Education for Ministry is a wonderful multi-year educational program for adults that goes into theology and the Bible
at a deeper level than most adult education programs permit. The Rev. Sally Hague will be here at 9:00 AM on Sunday,
May 18th, to answer your questions about EFM and explore the possibility of starting an EFM group at St. Paul’s
this fall. Please join her in the chapel to learn more.
On June 1st after the 10 AM service the Sunday School will celebrate the conclusion of the
Sunday School year with an Ice cream Social. Everyone, whether you have Sunday Schoolers or not, is welcome to
join this celebration. Families who plan on attending can RSVP to Sarah Nyhan at the church so she can be sure to
have enough ice cream.
Sunday June 8th - The entire Gospel Mass of Robert Ray will be sung as a mass with the Concord Chorale
here at St. Paul’s Church at 10:00 AM.
The Right Reverend V. Gene Robinson will be visiting St. Paul's Church on Sunday, June 22.
He will be the celebrant and preacher for both the 8 AM and 10 AM services.
The Fair Committee has begun meeting once a month in conjunction with the Craft Committee for a potluck dinner,
fellowship and of course craft projects and planning. If you would like to help with any of our projects
(instruction provided) or would like to participate in the planning and/or execution of the fair, please come
to one (or all!) of our monthly potluck craft/planning meetings at the church – usually the 2nd Sunday of each
month at 5 PM.
The Vestry has formally approved the Parish Profile -- both the printed and video versions -- created by the Search Committee,
as well as the Position description to be posted with the Church Deployment Office.
The Search Committee is beginning to identify names of candidates for Rector. If any parishioner is aware of
Episcopal Priests who would be available and good candidates for our Rector position,
please let the Search Committee know either in person or by a note in the Search Committee mailbox.
More details on the search process are available here.
